If you order custom-made shoes, be sure that the shoes will fit you and meet your expectations. Shoes made to order cannot be exchanged or returned. Please note this information when placing your order.

Important!

We adjust the finished shoes according to individual foot measurements within half a size. The cost of adjustment is 200 UAH.

Delivery of finished shoes is carried out at the expense of buyer.

Returns are not accepted.

STEP 1

Preparation

Each pair of Lookie Atelier is made exclusively at our workshop in Ukraine, and we are proud of it. After all, this allows us to be flexible and provide unique services, making shoes to measure. And it removes almost all restrictions in the size chart, inconsistencies in the standard fullness of your size, etc. We adjust our pads according to the parameters of the foot, conduct an intermediate fitting, and can even make minor changes to models from our collections. We will tell you how to take measurements correctly below.

Prepare a measuring tape, a ruler, two A4 sheets, a thin pen, or a pencil.
Take measurements in the second half of the day if your feet tend to swell.
Ask another person to help you take your measurements. We do not recommend you take the measurements yourself because your body weight is not distributed proportionally when you bend over and the measurements may be inaccurate.
If you plan to wear shoes with socks, prepare them. Be sure to specify the thickness of the socks in the dialog with the manager. If you ordered summer shoes, measure your bare feet.

STEP 2

Taking basic measurements

When choosing a custom-made pair of shoes, our team will emphasize your taste, lifestyle and personal preferences. Suitable for the following types of shoes: ballet flats, loafers, sandals, shoes, sneakers, sneakers.

We need to determine the following 4 measures:

Foot length: distance from the longest finger to the heel.
Joint circumference: circumference around the toes.
Instep circumference: circumference of the instep in the middle of the foot.
Ankle circumference: circumference of the ankle just above the bone at a height of 10-12 cm / 4-4.5 inches.

How to measure foot length correctly:

Place the A4 sheets on a firm surface and stand up straight, feet shoulder width apart, with your weight distributed between your two feet.
Ask another person to trace the outline of each foot. Hold the pencil or pen perpendicular to the surface.
Take a ruler and measure the length of your foot from the longest toe to the heel.
Left and right foot lengths may differ, this is normal. When making shoes to order, we will take this difference into account.

How to measure foot circumference correctly:

Take a measuring tape and measure your foot along the most protruding joints (zones) of your toes. These joints are very noticeable – the protruding bone near the thumb and the near the little finger.

STEP 3

Taking measurements for shoes above the ankle

Taken in addition to basic foot measurements. Needed for all types of boots.

We need you to determine the following 2 measures:

Heel circumference: circumference around the bottom of the heel and the beginning of the ankle joint
Circumference at a 20 cm height from the floor: this is usually where the expansion of the calf begins

How to measure boot (and product) height correctly:

When you measure the height (20 cm), place the measuring tape at 90 degrees to the floor, starting from the point where the heel touches the floor.

Delivery in Ukraine

We send all completed shoes by Nova Poshta delivery service within 2-3 business days after order confirmation.

If the shoes are made to order, delivery is carried out after they are ready. The estimated time for making the pair is indicated in the description for each product page.

International delivery

We ship international orders by Nova Global, DHL, UPS, FedEx or Ukrposhta.

The shipping cost is calculated individually, taking into account the recipient’s country, the number of pairs, their weight, and volume.

Please note that customs duties and taxes required by the laws of your country are not included in the order price and are the responsibility of the buyer.

Payment and ordering conditions (Ukraine)

Ready-made shoes are sent after full prepayment. If the pair does not fit, a return or size exchange is possible.
Shoes made to individual measurements are made only after full payment. Such pairs cannot be returned or exchanged. To make sure the shoes fit you perfectly, we send a half-finished pair for you to try on, after which we complete and deliver the finished product.

Partial payment is possible only for individual orders placed via Instagram: @lookie_atelier.

The production time is from 7 to 14 working days, depending on the model. The countdown starts from the moment of payment. The manager will inform you of the estimated date of shipment after confirming the order.

International orders are made only after full prepayment of the cost of the shoes and delivery.

We send orders by the following services: Nova Global, DHL, UPS, FedEx, and Ukrposhta. It is also possible to send via another carrier at your request.

In some countries, orders may be subject to customs clearance, duties, and other taxes.

Payment of customs duties and other possible fees is the responsibility of the buyer under the laws of the recipient country.

Customs payments are not included in the price of the goods, and we do not process requests related to their cost.
